The stats for the 1991 mitsubishi montero or any mitsubishis are not available in the database. Anyone know why or where I can get them.

A typical intersection, right angle crash (rotation-secondary impact-third impact with fixed object) leaves an unbelted driver with typical C6-C7 fracture and dislocation injuries, resulting in quad. paralysis. She is treated by the usual Dr`s and operated on accordingly. The two main Dr...

I have been asked to assist purely on a research/advisory basis on a matter where the counsel has posed a few questions in anticipation of the trial. The crash is a typical intersection right angle crash, both vehicles (4 door sedans) met, moved off and incurred approx 90 degree rotation, moving to re...

I don't mean to sound snarky, but it seems to me that far fewer topics are being discussed since the change of formats. I'm not saying there's any correlation, nor a post hoc ergo proptor hoc thing going on, only that it's how it seems me. So, are like drivers getting better? Is the database here suffic...

I am looking for anyone that has had any experience with Elk collisions (or large animals such as a horse or cow), and the frequency/percentage of airbag deployments in such a collision. Also expected or calculated of Delta V from such a collision with 400-600 lb elk-no measurement. Vehicle is a hi...

I am currently working a case involving a Dodge Ram pick-up truck vs. pedestrian. Since this is a homicide case I would like to get the ACM and the PCM downloaded. I am wondering if anyone here can point me to a Chrysler Rep that I can speak to about this case.

If you have a known speed that a vehicle is traveling and known skid distance to impact, would it be possible to come up with an impact speed by simply subtracting the energy used in braking the known distance from the energy the vehicle had from traveling at the known speed. I can't find in any published...

Lately I've taken to starting a how-to math guide for collision investigators. I've written in there the types of math I think people struggle with the most based on the cases (and some posts - and even testimony) I've seen over the years. So, I am kind of curious if anyone in here would feel comfortable...

I have a motorcycle accident were the bike hit a crash barrier , became entangled with the barrier and slid for a distance of 60.4meters before in fell over the edge and came to rest in a feild. the rider lost his right arm from the elbow , during the slid the bike hit a jeep that was travelling in the same di...

Body slides 300 feet on asphalt. This is a rolling, tumbling and bouncing slide. I was taught to use a 1.0 COF for this. I would like to be able to explain why we use the 1.0. and explain that the body is not touching the ground all the time and how the bounce or airborn time factors in to this. Thanks ken

We have a situation where a motorcycle skidded to an impact with a passenger vehicle. We have the speed loss from the skid and the speed at impact from the vault our concern is the combined speed. Do we use the standard combined speed formula or something different?
