CDR and Eurospec vehicles

I know this question has been asked before, and i seem to recall having seen and unofficial list some where, however does anyone know of vehicles that are not on the official list, that can be accessed by the CDR tool, I seem to recall some BMW`s being mentioned as well as Subaru, im particularly interested in Eurospec vehicles, as im keen to purchase the CDR tool, however its limited scope on our common vehicles (mostly eurospec) seems to suggest that the CDR would be impractical. I would hazard a guess that the CDR tool would likely work on quite a few of these vehicle, any advice?
Thanks Craig.

Craig,

The CDR tool uses both hardware and software to download information from a vehicle. Even if you could find a common connector from the CDR system to connect to the airbag control module of a non-listed vehicle and even if the system's software could translate the data from the vehicle, you would still have to use a VIN from a vehicle on the list to get the CDR system to work and I think that would cause some legal/evidentary problems, as that VIN would appear on the report. Plus, you would have no data limitations information (very important) for your non-listed vehicle.
I have no idea whether Bosch or any other company is working on a similiar tool for eurospec vehicles. As European carmakers fall in line with NHTSA's new rule on crash data, then maybe more vehicles on your side of the pond will be covered, but for now I suggest saving your money.

Noted, but im not willing to leave it at that, id rather incur the cost now and start using it to learn and grow, it will no doubt become accepted here and expand internationally as this information becomes accepted and as we all know, can be critical to determining various factors. We have to try stay in touch with development, Thanks anyhow.
